This class will teach how to make Bowtie wood inlays, providing an excellent opportunity learn more about using chisels and to sharpen your precision woodworking skills.
Creation of a Bowtie (also known as Butterfly, Dovetail Keys, or Dutchman joints) are a versatile skillset to know. They can enhance the visual appeal of your woodwork by hiding knots or imperfections, or serve their original purpose of reinforcing wood and preventing it from splitting due to expansion and contraction (as shown in the picture on this class listing).
Whether you’ve never touched a chisel, or have worked with them for years, this class will help you hone your skill set.
Using a chisel Bevel Up, Bevel Down, and Chopping Precision Marking and Layout using Marking Knives and Dividing Calipers
You DO NOT need to have or bring any tools to this class. However, if you have any of the following items please feel free to bring them to use.
