Intro to The Table Saw-Woodshop 101

The Table saw is the most used machine in the wood-shop.  With it you can rip, cross cut, miter, make angle cuts, cut tenons, grooves, dados and even make dowels and other things.  Correctly used it is safe, incorrectly used and I hope you have good medical insurance.   In this class you will learn how to use this machine safely, how to respect it but not fear it.  You will learn blade choice, blade changing, the miter gauge correct feed rate, correct use of hands, push sticks, feather boards, etc.

Items to Bring/Wear

Wear clothes you can get dusty.
Do not wear loose sleeves or any other loose clothing or jewellery.
Long hair must be tied back.
If you have your own eye and hearing protection, please bring it - but we do have some available in the shop.
