ROUTER 101 - An Intro to Woodworking Routers

The router table is considered to be one of the most important tools in any woodshop. This is due to it versatility of use along with its ability to make cuts precisely, accurately, and repeatably with little effort.

This class will be made up of two parts.

The first part, we will start in the classroom where we will go over topics such as:

  • Definitions/Terms/Names/Purpose of Routers & Related Items
  • Explain why you'd use a router and what it can do
  • How to Safely use a Router
  • How to select the correct router bit for your purpose

The second part will give you the chance to actually get hands on experience using the router table and how to do a multitude of cuts & adjustments to the table.

Refunds/Credits will not be provided should you fail to cancel your registration 5 days in advance of the class

About the Instructor:

Jon Alt is a self taught tinkerer and woodworker who has focused most of his time in the woodshop building mid-century modern furniture along with various other smaller projects .
