The band saw is a key woodshop machine. With it you can rip, cross cut and cut some sorts of curves and also resaw lumber into narrower stock. While the cuts are generally not as smooth as those of circular saws, the kerf is thinner, wasting less wood, and the depth of cut can be much greater. You will learn how to change blades, set up the machine correctly and use it safely and effectively.
