Join us for our monthly Twin Cities Maker Community Night—an evening of free food, connection, and making inspiration! Dinner will be provided, with vegetarian options available. This month, we are thrilled to have a featured presentation by metal artist Brighton McCormick.
Brighton McCormick is a sculptor and arts educator living and working in South Minneapolis. Their interdisciplinary practice focuses on sculpture and gallery installation, community engaged projects, and public art primarily utilizing metal working and reinterpreted found objects. They have a BFA from the University of Minnesota and an MFA from the University of Washington. Currently Brighton is teaching at the Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center, is an Assistant Professor at Hamline University, and is the founder of Fire Press Library.
The dinner will begin at 6:30 in the TCM side lot (in case of rain, in the classroom), with Brighton's presentation starting at 7. Come connect with fellow makers, enjoy a tasty meal, and learn more about Brighton's incredible work!
