Want to learn more about clay surface decoration? This workshop is for you! We will learn how to apply a variety of clay surface textures and techniques to communicate a narrative, create ergonomic surfaces, and add visual interest. This workshop will be taught by Katherine Herrera-Lai, with guest teacher, Paola Evangelista. Techniques covered will include:
Sgraffito and Incising
Paint transfer and layering
Sprigging
Slip Trailing
Impressing and DIY Stamps
Mishima
Slip Marbling
Sodium Silicate
Get ready to have fun and create! Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Class will be held in the Artifactory Classroom.
