A Harvest Ritual Date: Sunday, September 13th, 2026
Time: 10am – 1pm
We will gather a week ahead of the autumn equinox and a new moon in Libra. This season of harvest meets the new lunar cycle and asks us what we are carrying, what we are releasing and who we are in relationship—to ourselves, to each other, and to the turning year.
This is not a production class. There is no pressure to make something perfect or even finished. This is an invitation to let the clay be a mirror for the season.
We will make a small harvest vessel form that becomes a personal container for this moment. What are you gathering from the summer and carrying into autumn? What intention do you want to hold as the light begins its lean toward dark? Your vessel will contain this literally and symbolically. Working with pinch, coil, and impression techniques, you will hand-build a piece at your own pace, with found natural materials (leaves, seeds, botanicals) pressed into the surface as a record of this particular season in your hands.
We will begin with a grounding and a moment of intention before hands ever touch clay. There will be tea. There will be stillness. There will be the quality of light that only September in Minnesota knows how to make.
No ceramics experience required. All materials and tools provided. Finished pieces bisque fired, glazed, and available for pickup.
Come as you are. Bring what this season holds for you.
