Bandsaw Boxes

Bandsaw Boxes are a way of creating a box out of a solid chunk of wood (or laminated pieces of wood) using only a Bandsaw to make the cuts.

Being that the bandsaw is able to make curved cuts, this gives the woodworker a lot of flexibility and artistic license to make the box into any shape they see fit.

Bandsaw Boxes, whether you decide to go whimsical or practical,  are a fun way to use up those scraps and smaller cutoffs you may have laying around.

In this class, you'll make a simple bandsaw box that you can take home with you.  Due to time constraints of the class, please do not expect perfection in your bandsaw box by the end of the class.  This class is meant to give you the steps, hints and tricks needed to create future Bandsaw Boxes.

Recommended Experience Level:

All Experience Levels are welcome, previous experience with a bandsaw will give you a "leg up."
I'd suggest watching these two videos if you've never used a bandsaw before:
