Learn the secrets to painting gems and jewels in mini painting!
If you’re into miniature and model painting this class will help boost your skill level. We’re going to focus on using glazes side-by-side with a wet palette make gem effects. All materials will be provided. If you are unfamiliar with the use of a wet palette I highly recommend taking my Wet Palette course first.
We’re going to focus in on paint consistency and glazing techniques to render stylized gem effects. There will be a lot of painting tips, tricks and good practice habits shared.
This class is accessible to beginner and intermediate painters.

Rick Strohmeyer is the Artifactory manager and a long time member of Twin Cities Maker. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking, he has enjoyed sharing the knowledge he has learned while being a a print-maker, painter and general designer. Rick Strohmeyer is also a former art teacher and is currently a stay at home painter.
