Trick-or-treat yourself to something handmade — learn copper enameling and craft your own Halloween-inspired jewelry set.
This hands-on workshop introduces students to the ancient art of enameling on copper, with a spooky seasonal twist. Participants will learn fundamental techniques including surface preparation, enamel application, firing processes, and finishing methods — all while exploring a Halloween-inspired palette of blacks, oranges, purples, and eerie greens. By the end of the class, each student will have created a coordinated jewelry set featuring their own Halloween motifs, color choices, and design aesthetic.
This class is open to makers of all levels. No prior experience required.
By the end of this workshop, students will be able to: ● Understand basic enameling safety and studio procedures ● Prepare copper blanks for enamel application ● Apply enamel using sifting techniques ● Successfully fire enamel pieces using a kiln ● Finish and assemble enameled components into wearable jewelry ● Identify troubleshooting solutions for common enameling issues
